The main reason to stay in this area – excellent transport connections. Kyoto Station is the city’s primary transportation hub, offering easy access to all parts of the city. It’s also a perfect starting point for day trips to popular destinations such as Nara, Himeji Castle, Osaka, and the impressive Fushimi Inari Shrine. Within Kyoto, you can get around easily using the subway or the bus stops located directly in front of the station.

Inside the station, you will find numerous restaurants, shopping centers, and even a movie theater. The surrounding area is filled with small shops and eateries. Unlike many European stations, this neighborhood is considered safe, creating a comfortable and convenient atmosphere for both tourists and locals.
