The Gion Corner Theater is located in the geisha district of Gion. This is where the famous performance “Miyako Odori”, described in the book “Memoirs of a Geisha”, was held annually. Today, the theater features a program of seven types of Japanese performing arts.
From December to mid-March, performances are held only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
