Kimono Dressing in the Gion District

Kimono Dressing in the Gion District

Prices start from $105 per person

Create special memories of Kyoto by strolling through the streets of the traditional Gion district in authentic Japanese attire—a kimono. Whether you come with children, friends, or plan a romantic walk with your partner, you will always be offered a wide selection of women’s, men’s, and children’s kimonos in various designs and styles. You will receive assistance in putting on the kimono properly, and women can have their hair styled to match the look. In addition to the outfit, you will be provided with a traditional handbag, socks, and geta sandals.

For those who find walking in kimono difficult, after dressing you can take your own photos in the interiors and courtyard of a traditional house.

You can also choose to try on a summer kimono (yukata) or a formal long-sleeved kimono (furisode). Men’s and children’s kimonos are also available.

Opening Hours: 10:30–18:00 (kimono must be returned by 18:00)
