Ghibli Park in Nagoya

Ghibli Park in Nagoya

Prices start from $63 per person

Visiting Ghibli Park in Nagoya is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of Japanese animation and art. The park, dedicated to the works of the famous animation studio Ghibli, allows visitors to experience the magic that permeates every one of its films. Here you can learn more about the animation process, see original drawings and character costumes, and discover the animation techniques used in the studio. The park also features a café and a shop where visitors can purchase Ghibli-themed souvenirs such as posters, books, toys, and other items to remember their visit.

The park consists of several themed areas:

  • Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse
A kind of museum, this area includes a cinema where you can watch masterpieces by Hayao Miyazaki, as well as several exhibitions featuring life-size character figures and sets from films such as Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Arrietty, and more. Everything here feels like Ghibli!
  • Hill of Youth
An open-air space where you can explore locations from Whisper of the Heart, Howl’s Moving Castle, and more.
  • Dondoko Forest
Step into the world of My Neighbor Totoro! Children can fully immerse themselves in the anime atmosphere, playing games and completing various quests.
  • Mononoke Village
This zone is dedicated entirely to Princess Mononoke. It features an ancient village where the hero’s tribe lived, and a vast forest inhabited by forest spirits. Families can explore this area together and even join a workshop on making rice cakes (mochi) over charcoal, just like in ancient times.
  • Valley of Witches
Dive into the stories of Kiki’s Delivery Service, Earwig and the Witch, and the beloved Howl’s Moving Castle! Visit Kiki’s childhood home, the bakery where she worked, Sophie’s mother’s hat shop, and Howl’s magical moving castle.
