Japan is world-famous for its hot springs, but in big cities it’s often difficult to find a large, beautiful onsen without leaving town for a full day. Now, thanks to Solaniwa Onsen in central Osaka, you can enjoy the ultimate hot spring experience right in the city.
Spread across five floors, Solaniwa Onsen is one of the largest complexes in the Kansai region. Its interior is designed in the style of the Azuchi–Momoyama period, complete with a pond, waterfall, footbaths, and even a miniature replica of Kyoto’s famous Fushimi Inari Shrine.
Inside, you’ll find nine different alkaline hot spring baths, stone saunas, private baths for up to five people with garden views, relaxation lounges, two restaurants, massage and beauty salons, and even a fun fish therapy foot bath. For families, there are private family baths where everyone can bathe together.
Admission includes bath amenities and a cotton yukata robe. For extra fun, you can rent a ninja, samurai, or princess costume for unique photo opportunities.
